"Thank you for building our beautiful pond. We love sitting along side of it in the summer feeding the fish and hearing the sounds of the waterfall and having dinner next to the pond... our own little piece of paradise. I also love the placement of the pond in front of my living room window so I can sit inside and enjoy it just as much even in the winter when it has a whole different look." -- Thanks again, Doriss L.
Choosing A Contractor
We have been in business since 1990 and have heard it all! Even if you do not choose us for a job we want it to be a success. Here we offer some tips.
- Are they Licensed &bonded? Did you know if there is damage done or the person gets hurt it could go against your homeowners insurance?
- How many years in business
- References, they should gladly give them to you. 1) How was the contractor to work with? 2) Was the end project what you had agreed on? 3) If any problems did they come back in a timely manner and correct them?
- Quality I Kind of materials used 1) Spacing of sprinklers for proper coverage 2) Size of plants. 3) Grade of weed barrier. 4) Thickness of topsoil, bark or rock.
- Warranty/Guarantee on work and product.
- Are you in need of a Landscape Architect? 1) Can you visualize what you want? 2) Can you pick a design that matches your needs, likes, style, maintenance and cost.3. Plan for future projects! After talking with people about their vision I find that most know what style, color & maintenance they want and what they don't want. From that a good landscape can be built.
- Cheapest is not always the best. If it is too good to be true it probably is!
- Unless it is a special order a reputable contractor should not ask for money up front!
